Combination of geogrid and fleece
A combination of geogrid and fleece (non-woven fabric) is a technical composite material that is widely used in construction and civil engineering.
Product Description: Geogrid-Fleece Combination
The combination of geogrid and nonwoven fabric (fleece) combines the advantages of both materials in a single product that fulfills reinforcement/stabilizing as well as separating and filtering functions.
Geogrid component
- Material: Usually made of high-modulus polyester yarns or polypropylene yarns coated with polymer or PVC, or polypropylene (PP) without coating.
-
Functions:
- Reinforcement: Increases the load-bearing capacity of the soil.
- Stabilization: Prevents ground displacement and improves load distribution.
- Deformation resistance: Reduces settlement and cracking.
Non-woven fabric component
-
Material: Usually made of bonded polypropylene or polyester fibers.
-
Function:
-
-
Separation: Prevents mixing of different soil layers.
-
Filtration: Allows water to pass through, but retains soil particles.
-
Protection: Serves as a protective layer for sensitive waterproofing or other geosynthetics.
